I have a slot fan and I'd like it to suck air in instead of blowing it out. All I have to do is reverse the "+" and "-" correct?

From the motors stand point yes, but from the fans standpoint no. The fan blades arnt flat, their curved, as such they can only effectivly push air one way while spinning in a given direction. Reverse the direction and they wont much much air.

Just flip the fan around?

It's a pci slot fan. I haven't taken it apart yet, but maybe I can flip it(fingers crossed!) I did think about the pitch of the blades after I posted> Probably wouldn't help a lot just by changing the polarity.

Most computer fans are Brushless and will not work if you reverse polarity. Also if you "Flip" the fan around it will still be angled to blow the air out from the center. I dont know of any blower type of fan that sucks the air in from the edges and blows it out the center of the blades, I think theres probably a really good reason for this, as it just doesn't work well and isn't worth it.

I think you will need to come up with a differant solution such as mounting a fan in the side panel.

You could remove the existing fan and mount a normal fan onto the housing of the blower fan, so as to just use the housing as a duct to pull air in from the outside, but this will be alot larger and will take up at least one more slot than the existing cooler fan.

With a pci slot fan design similar to stock Nvidia 9800/200 series you won't be able to reverse direction. However if you want an intake and you have two slots you could try the lian li BS-08. To determine airflow direction just swap the way the fans face.
