Fan only connectors?

The fans in my case are really loud and my temps are fine (around 30C for the CPU) so I want to connect them to the "fan only" connectors on my psu. My question is, do I connect these fan only connectors to the fans' molex connectors or the 2 pin connector that you connect to your mobo to get the rpm reading? The fan only connectors are in molex form but only have 2 wires wired while the fans have all 4 wires used in the molex connectors.

Just connect them to the 4 pin molex connectors. The fans molex connectors have four wires because they can be used in a pass-through fashion when connected to a normal 4-pin molex off your PSU.

Make sure that you don't plug anything else into the female side of the 4-pin molex of the fan when it's powered by the "Fan only" connections of the PSU. You could damage any device you plugged into them. These connectors only use the 12v wires and provide thermistor controlled variable voltage on those wires.

For some strange reason the front fan does not work at all with the fan only connectors even though it's supposedly the same as the front fan (except it has no LED). The exhaust fan has an LED which I would think requires more volts, and yet it works fine with the fan only connectors (except that the LED dimms quite a bit :( )
