which one do you think would give optimal cooling? currently my fans are setup according to the first image. I'm wondering if you guys know if the second setup would improve cooling to the cpu. Id rather ask first than to try and go through the hassle of reseating the heatsink if you guys happen to know for sure that it is a bad idea

the current setup as long as you keep the side fan as an intake.. otherwise you end up creating negitive pressure in the case..

currently i have my antec 300 setup like your second option but thats due to the way my pos HSF is and having to make sure my pwm's stay cool since this boards not designed for the current processor i have in it..

I think the best course of action would be to try it both ways and see which works better.
