hey, i was just wondering, what kind of material do you use to filter your fans with?

where do you buy it from?

how often do you change it, and how often do you vaccume the room in which the computer in which the fan filters are installed?

assuming i vaccume once every other week, how often should i replace my fan filters that came with my Lian-Li?

where can i buy these replacement filters?

i wouldnt say that you nned to replace the fan filters, just vacuum the sucker :D

i also have home depot filters that i cut and taped on the front of my case however i've heard many people using panty hose

Ditto on the furnace filters. I have some aluminum mesh filters, but they sit there because they just block too much airflow for my standards. This stuff is cheaper too.

Another vote for the furnace filters. I bought a pack of 10 at my local hardware store for $2, the ones I got are about 6" by 10" and do the job really well if you just cut them down. And there's really no rated time that you should be cleaning your filters, just vacuum them when so much dust collects that flow is inhibited.

err, not too sound too newbish, but how do i "vaccume" the filters? do i just hold one in my hand and force it to the bottom of my vaccume?

thanks for all the replies :)

As for my filters, I take them out, step outside, and wave them aggressively in the air, whatever was stuck inside is pretty much gone.

you could use the tube sucky thingy of the vacuum cleaner and suck out the fitler. (hold the filter firmly in ur hand so it doesnt go bye bye :D)

lol, i could see sum guy vacumm his filters :D and it goes up the tube and makes the vacumm get realy loud and blow up

I'm gunna use sum of my moms panty hose!!!!!!!!!

Remove the front bezel off of your case and tape a dryer sheet to the inside surface of your bezel. Remove and replace it every three months. Works great!
