but for anyone that doesnt have one, and thinks their computer is too loud.. mmm mmm bitch!
i just built my new comp and, oh im going to bed, ILL TURN THE FANS DOWN. beautiful. cant hear em now. sorry. excited. i love technology.

might sound wierd but personaly, i LIKE fan noise, it HELPS me sleep
 
yeah, fan controllers are a big help...definitely makes the computer less noisey than it was before, and being able to control the airflow when i'm just surfin the net or gaming is a big plus. what kind of controller did you get? i got myself a sunbeam rheobus, works like a charm (cept the led's are superbright when turned up all the way, thank god for my front panel or else i'd be puttin some electrical tape over those suckers :D )
 
i have a vantec nexus controller. actually, about the blue led's. they dont dim when i turn the knobs, and they are VERY bright.. im wondering, i know this might sound horrible, but could i disconnect the led's from the unit? how would i do that?
 
hmm i wondered abot that too...i'm sure it's possible to do, but i don't have the technical know-how about that kind of stuff. would be interested to see if anyone else does tho
 
you can de solder them and if it doesnt work replace it with a low value resistor, like 100 ohms or so just to pretend to be the led to the pcb
