Just wanted to know what fan controllers, if any, people are using to monitor their system fans, and any recomendations or reviews.
My case the TT Tsunami came with 3 system fans, a 120mm intake, 120mm exhaust and 92mm intake. I am planning on adding another few fans to this set up and am looking for a good controller to monitor their speeds.

Currently i am looking at the Zalman Multi Speed Fan Controller - ZM-MFC1 although this unit does not have the ability to turn some fans off completly, but i dont think thats of major concern.

Any suggestions?

After looking long and hard, I have a Sunbeam 5.25" 4-port rheobus blue/red led coming:

from what i have seen and i have heard, it is quite powerful... you can hook up maybe 2 - 3 120mm fans to each channel b4 it conks out... friends got it [main reason i decided] and he runs 4 80s on one channel, and 2 120s on each of hte rest :)

@ Above post...

Those things are awesome. 15w on each channel allows for like, 1.1amps at 12v.

BLINDING blue LED's tho :p

I use a Vantex Nexus, but it's really too bad they don't make the version that fits into the 5.25 inch bays anymore. You can still find the 3.5 versions though.

and update ot my post

i just received my sunbeam fan controller today :) its awesome! i have 2 120s on 3 channels and 3 80s on the other, and it works perfectly.. looks aweosme, quiets down everything lol

its a great steal ;) only problem with it, is that it comes with only two molex -> 3-pin converters. so u might need to order more :p

anyone know of any fan controllers taht have purely red leds? i know the rheobus has the red at low and blue at high but im looking for red all around

This one is the most powerful one ive seen. Im using 2 of them and the leds are too damn bright though. I think im gonna cut mine.

You can also dim them by putting a resistance between the led's leg and the socket

I just use a Koutech FPM820. Its more of a multi-function panel device, but it looks pretty sweet in my case, and it has good functionality with a LED readout (3 fan speeds + 3 temps). The only thing I don't like about it is when you turn the fans down below 2000RPM's, it beeps like an alarm clock.. lol. It is built in and you can't change it. :( Other than that, its really cool. In my computer I'm in the process of gathering parts for, I'm going to go with the VL System LIS 2.

Sweet setup!

Remove the buzzer :D. I had to do that to my airconditioning the other day as, it beeped every time it turned on or off... Super annoying.

The blue led are really bright, REALLY BRIGHT on the sunbeam. I could turn off the lights and know where I am going to say the least. I have a door on my case, lets just say its always closed... :D

Handles 20Watts per channel=yess

I am actually currently looking for a fan controller now and that happens to be the fan controller everyone seems to tell me to get. Can anyone else tell me why. I know teh 20Watts per channel is alot and thats a great plus. It's not only very simple (not with all this other crap to clutter it up) but CHEAP. I might be getting one next week. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

I like gadgets and nice flashy things too but have never seen the need for a fan controller.
I use 4 standard 80mm case fans running at 7V which are practically silent so never need speed adjusting, they perform an excellent job.

My CPU has tumble dryer hose feeding it air from outside the case which means I dont need a noisy fan to cool it. This also helps reduce the case temp.
I also have the motherboard control the cpu fan speed so it is never 100% yet I can get a 50% overclock @ 44C load, rock stable :)

My gfx card draws air from inside the case and expels it out of the back of the case, preventing the hot air being recirculated.
It is also overclocked nicely, the extra heat generated doesnt impact anything else in the system.

All the above adds up to a highly overclocked, quiet and well cooled system with zero hassle.
...In case it helps :)

anyone here tried replacing the LEDs on the rheobus so they are either dimmer or all the same color? i saw a review over at silentpc on how to do it but i want to see the results :D

I have one of those running 4 120mm fans (3 with LEDs). But DAMN those LEDs are bright. Coloring them with a sharpie helped a little, but still kinda bright.
