Fan controllers and antec tricools

You can't use them with antec tricools, can you?

What do you guys do with your tricools? If you need to change the speeds, do you have to open your case?

sure you can, i have 3 of them running on a frozencpu rheobus. just put the switch on high.
 
Like if I was to use a zalman fan controller or similar, would that work?

I remember reading some fan controllers won't work with fans with rpm switches on them.
