Fan Controller

Hi,
I really need a stylish simple black fan controller, with not too many bells and whistles.
It also only needs to control one fan (vantec stealth on an xp-120), so for example the vantec fan controller with 4 nobs is overkill.
It has to fit in a 5.25" bay...
I was looking at the aerocool gatewatch thing, which though it does look very cool, I have heard that the fan speed changes are very slow...is this true? what are people's experiances with this?
I was also looking at the 3.5" Lian li fan controller (or thermalmeter as they call it) is this good?
Thanks very much for any help/comments

um....why dont you jsut get a 4 channel 5.25 bay fan controller. You never know when you might need it in the future with a new loud fan.

Yeh my advice is get a Sunbeam Rheobus or a Vantec Nexus and just use one channel cause having a 5 1/2 bay with a panel with a single nob look awfully wrong. You wont save much money by buying a 1 channel as opposed to a 4 channel if your looking for something well built.

Here are some results from the egg....sorry, I don't know any decent computer places that are right near you, but it should give you some ideas:

ENERMAX (BLACK) Multifunction Panel with SATA HDD and card reader: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-999-217&depa=0
Cooler Master Aerogate II Black thermal controller http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-999-157&depa=0
Cooler Master Aerogate III Black Digital function panel http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-999-159&depa=0

As a note, I do agree with the rest of the people here; dialing down one fan using a fan controller seems excessive. Rather than get a fan controller that's going to fit in a bay have you considered a PCI bracket with a lone knob to dial down the fan in question?

Im using and it is keeping 2 tornadoes at a lower noise level, and a regular LED fan under my control. It doesnt get fancy and gets the job done. for like 2 dollars more you can get it in black.

I agree with you, but your choice doesn't meet his criteria of a) being black and b) not having 4 dials - he's going for looks, so he'll probably have to pay for it. I was using a nexus in my old computer that fit in a 3.5 bay and it was fine.
