fan controller necessary??

i have just finished my system, athlon 64 3200+, in a chieftec dragon case. i have 5 80mm case fans (two front, one side, two back) and i have 3 of them plugged into motherboard headers and the other two just plugged into molexes. my case is pretty loud when running. is there any way i can splice the power from the mobo headers to the fans, so i can control fan voltage for more than one fan? i would probably rarely or never adjust the fan speed, because my CPU fan is in a mobo header, and i would only need to increase a little bit when OCing (i think) i just dont want to waste my money on a fan controller, esp when i will only be plugging in two of the fans

It's easy to mod from 12v to 5v. Instead of having the yellow wire from the 3 pin on the fan go into the red wire on the 4 pin molex. Have the yellow wire on the 3 pin on the fan goto the red wire on the 4 pin molex. +5v + 0v = 5v

If you want 7v, then have the black ground from the 3 pin on the fan go into either the red wire on the 4 pin molex while leaving the red wire from the 3 pin on the fan going into the yellow on the molex. +12v (-) +5v = 7v.

Confusing enough? :p
