Hey,

Kind of confusing title, but i wasnt sure how to word it.

Basically, if i have this fan controller:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811992005

It controls 5 fans. If the case i have has 10 fans, could i somehow use a y-splitter and have 2 fans per fan fan controller? Like, lets say for Fan 1 there is a voltage regulator on the controller. It sends out XX volts for fan 1. Could i y-split that to go to 2 fans therefore each "fan preset" actually controls more than one?

Im not sure how to word this properly hahaha

Depends.

It says that it can handle 10w per channel. If your 2 fans don't exceed that, then yes.

If you put 2 fans per channel, make sure only 1 of the fans is using the rpm sensor wire to controller.

Most importantly, READ the reviews of all the different setups people use, and all the problems they've had before you buy.

EDIT: Nvm about the controller, my mobo has fan xpert 2, ill just use that!

Anyways, the mobo only has 4 fan slots (ASUS P8Z77-V LG). What should i look for as far as y-splitters go? The extra fans i plan on buying are labeled a 3/4 pin connectors. In total ill have 6 fans to go into 4 spots....
