Fan controller barely powering fan

I bought a sunbeam rheobus to control a 70mm fan.

However the sunbeam rheobus hardly gives any power to the fan. I have to turn the knob all the way over to get it to move.

Im sure the reason why is because of my noob cable set up powering the fan controller.

i have this plugged into power supply

connected to this

connected to another one of this, which is plugged into the fan controller

i have no more molexs so this is why i tried this...
what other options might I have so i can get full power to this controller?

One, which power supply are you using?

Two, have you tried using a Molex splitter on an actual Molex connection (versus using it against a PCI-E connection)?

DONT USE THAT 6 PIN adapter. Thats for a video card, to go from molexs into 6 pin. Its not suppose to go 6 pin into your psu. See how theres only a few connectors on the molexs? Its not using all the power.
