Ok, I've built a few computers, but none of them really needed cooling. Mine wont really need it, but I have the fans so I might as well use em huh?

Right now, the window, top blowhole and back fans are all exhaust fans, and the one in front is an intake (all are 80mm) and the PSU has an 80mm in the back obviously. I'm wondering what configuration would cool the best for some slight OC'ing. Also would it be easier to get a baybus to turn a few off at night, or just rig up nifty switch?

The spec's so far are: Asus A7N8x 2.0 (non-deluxe), 2500+ 333fsb, crucial 256mb PC-2700, ATI 9200SE 128mb to be added 120gb seagate P-ATA HDD, another 256mb stick of RAM, Lite-On black burner and 17" monitor

Make the fan over the CPU an intake fan, otherwise you'll be creating an unnecessary vaccuum as the heatsink fan blows down onto the heatsink.

Thanks, dropped the case temp about 6 degrees F according to the probe, the cpu about 2 degrees C, and the mobo 1 or 2 degrees C according to bios.

I was playing around in the BIOS and OC'd it some, but w/o an OS i don't know it its stable or what.... on a 2500+ 333fsb i got:

CPU ext. freq : 200mhz
Multiplier: 11X
Mem freq: 100 /resulting freq 200mhz
how will changing the vcore help me oc?

I don't know shit for RAM, wondering how well my crucial pc2700 will OC, i used the bios's "agressive" setting and got:
Active Precharge Delay: 8
RAS 2 CAS: 4
RAS Precharge: 4
CAS Latency 3T

also, what is the FSB spread spectrum and the AGP spread spectrum??

Is this a safe OC? at idle right now bios is reporting a 42C CPU temp and a 21C mobo temp

Sorry for all the newb questions that are probably answered somewhere else, but i'm just paranoid about frying my new system
