In the coolbits overclocking options for my Nvidia card (FX5500) one of the options is "Fan always on" Is it ok to do this, because I want to keep the card cooled all the time, even when nothing intensive is going on. This couldn't harm anything, could it?

I doubt it would harm the card, although it might harm your ears. To me "Fan always on" implies that it will disable temperature control of the fan so it will be on full blast constantly.

cool, thanks. the case fans drown out the card fan, though, so I don't notice
