Only major crashing I've had was at the end of the game. The second time the /spoiler/ destroys a gate is when I crash every time. I had to noclip to get past it.

There's no "I have the console version" option.

PC Gaming and Hardware forum ;)

I've heard the console versions have their own problems though.

I've given up and uninstalled the game until a patch comes along. I hope there are no secret root kits left over.

No crashing at all unless I Alt-Tab and then try to go back to it, but that crash is rare.

I got my system super stable after Grid as that game really stresses out the Ram for some reason, I suspect Fallout could have simular issues.

Edit: I run the game max settings at 1680x1050 with 4xAA / 8xAF and it runs great, no problems at all and super fast load times.

they're using securom, I guarantee the explorer hooking apps and hidden reg keys are still in your system. show hidden files in explorer, then do a search for CmdLineExt.dll in your \windows dir.

I played through a LOT of the game and finished it. The only crashing I had was only the entire level of the "Tranquility Lane." I thought I'd never get through that thing. Walk 10 ft, quick save, crash, hard boot, start game, load level, walk another 10 ft, quick save, walk another 10 ft. , quick save, crash and repeat..

I was getting alot of crashes with 178.24, and even the 180betas.
With the latest whql drivers from the site, it really improved my stability and its letting me enjoy this game!

I had ancient drivers and was getting crashes. Updated to latest that seemed to fix it. I was suprised how old my drivers were - hadn't played anything in months!

My first crash yesterday. I was in the Underworld.

Also, I got this stupid bug (not repeatable) where Charon would not kill this previous employer when I hired him. Thank God it's not always like this.

Before patch - occasional crashes with minimal impact
After patch - regularly crashes at start up.

Conclusion for me: don't patch!

It was crashing constantly for me until I figured out it didn't like my TV app running on second monitor or Trillian. With both off, it runs pretty smooth.

It crashes almost every time I exit, I can't minimize it, but that's always a tossup these days. That doesn't really impact gameplay, though, so i can't complain all that much. Oh, and if I don't close the vista sidebar it does horrible things to the right side of the game, but whatever.

My point is, it's really stable for me, just has some weird bugs when I'm not playing, effectively.
