Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Can someone tell how dangerous is this fake online scanner?
I told MSE to clean the computer and closed Chrome to not download that fake antivirus. COMODO Firewall did not detect any connections. I´m gonna run a scan with Malwarebyte´s and Spybot S&S. Should I be afraid?
It's one of the many rogue antivirus/fake alert/scareware variants out there, designed to make you think your system is infected, and get you to give them your credit card number to purchase their fake program to clean you system...and off goes your credit card into to the Russian black market.
Follow the stickied guide at the top of this forum. A good antivirus program, combined with MalwareBytes and maybe another scanner or two usually cleans them up quite easily.
Malwarebyte´s did not found any infected files. I also have scanned the system with Spybot S&S and SuperAntiSpyware and they found nothing but cookies that were removed successfully. Should I remove my Windows 7 partition? I have Vista installed on other partition and it´s my main OS.
The CPU and memory usage looks normal. HiJackThis log looks clean. Any suggestions?
Looks like you're pretty good then. Maybe over the next few days just update MalwareBytes, SAS, etc....and run another couple of scans just to feel more assured.
