I would not suggest you clicking this link at work, even though the story at the end of it is actually incredibly interesting. Long story short: It is not a problem to stick someone else's face on someone else's body in a pr0n movie. It is far from perfect, but as the creator is quoted as saying, "This is no longer rocket science." I guess that means we have to get back out the Avatar fleshlight for our next HardForum feature film.

Someone used an algorithm to paste the face of 'Wonder Woman' star Gal Gadot onto a porn video, and the implications are terrifying.

Considering most pro male stars are more well endowed than me, I'm thinking my Tinder odds are up!

The implications are so much farther reaching then porn. The non discerning, instant video watchers have and will be fooled by completely fabricated reality. Staged events with massive impact are a huge threat. They have been done before when the tech used was far lesser. We live in very scary times.

Not sure how this is much different then using CGI to fill in a missing actor in a normal movie.

In the not too distant future, a faked porn video meant as revenge porn is going to make for an interesting court case in the US. Since it isn't a real image of an actual act, no matter how close it is to an exact copy of the real person, it is likely protected by the 1st amendment as an expression or work of art.

I'm terrified and offended this wasn't done sooner.

I'm looking at it from a different perspective. Will it be the answer to small hands?

Then, you might want to be wary of those looking to change things up, especially the ones who have gender fluid coming out of their mouths.

rule 34

no exceptions

That brings some rather horrifying things to mind...

My brain keeps blanking at Gal Godot on Tubgirl; I can't get to GG on Goatse guy, thankfully.

I think I'll cancel my internet now; click bait could be very very bad now.

Thanks, thanks a lot.

So they took a likely gorgeous woman, and then stuck a fake face of another gorgeous woman on to her face.

Why exactly?

That said, the non-porn implications of this are scary. Not that I trust what's seen in the media anyway. Where technical tools like this fail sufficiently motivated editing, and flat out bare faced lying, succeeds.

Using someone's likeness without permission is illegal. Especially if it was specifically made for that purpose to look like that person. It doesn't matter that it is not the actual person, just cgi.

Yeah, libel/slander laws are still very much in place here. Of course, given recent events, it would still likely be enough to tank a person's career, at least until it becomes so normalized that people quit believing it when they see it.

I think the courts have enough sense to see when something has a very close likeness. Were not talking alleged 'Lindsey Lohan' cartoon drawing in a GTA game here, but high resolution images of peoples faces ripped and used without consent for materials or works that the parties involved might find deeply offensive and may damage their social standing, employment status, religious beliefs etc. If the 'victim' is being shamed by someone, they may commit suicide for instance.
Not only that, there are monetary consequences if the persons who create this work and makes money off your almost exacting-likeness and you are taking nothing from the sale of your identity. Cameras are really decent these days even smart phones beat out your average semi-pro camera of a decade ago the quality will be of a good enough level and mapped in 3D furthermore imitating and copying your exact likeness.

It's identity theft.

Just something to ponder. Is it okay if someone uses a politicians face, a police officers or secret service members face for such acts, Perhaps not for porn but to discredit or place them in some position that they were not ? I can see the law being very strict on this kind of thing being abused in the public space TBH.

I can remember at the time there were people who wondered why they couldn't see them on the Moon. I was one of them, at about 6 yo, lol.

For anyone who thinks there's a chance we faked them, look at the photos of the landing sites from the orbiter a couple of years ago; they must have even faked the disturbed dirt on the real Moon!

:)
