Is there a way to set up a fake host on a LAN with an ip address, such that when any computer on the LAN addresses that IP, it is redirected to a different location?
I have some applications that are hard-coded to look for specific services on various local IP addresses. The services are intended to run on machines on the same network. I wish to run some services on one network and some on another; hence, when the application tries to address the local IP of a service, I need to redirect it's request to a broader Internet IP.
