Getting a faint horizontal bar that moves from the bottom to the top of the screen.

Olevia 237V with latest firmare installed
Comcast digital cable

Nothing else plugged into TV and nothing near the TV. Bar is there even without cable box, cable line goes straight to tv

Any ideas before I have to call comcast

Is this with only a TV displaying or does this occur with a another video source input?

Sorry did not get back here sooner, I hooked up a Sony DAV-HDX265 surround sound setup. When I play a DVD through the HDMI the picture is perfect. I also hooked up my computer to the VGA connection and the picture is perfect.

I did notice that when I did not have the cable box hooked up and tuned channels in through the TV tuner that the tv picked up other channels (local over the air HD channels) that the cable box did not offer. The channels that are HD, the picture is perfect, but when I change to a (I believe is analog ) channel (Example is the TNT channel) that comcast is sending in, I get that line.

The other TV (LG L3200T LCD) that is connected to a comcast cable box, does not have that line.

I am thinking that I am gonna have to get another cable box from comcast?

another cable won't help, but a ground loop isolator will. I don't know where to get one, but perhaps a search will turn one up? There are multiple flavors and you need a cable tv version for RG-6 with F connectors. If you're really lucky, your cable TV company will even have heard of one.

O.O.

I have the same TV and the same exact issue (also on Comcast cable). Interestingly, it doesn't show up on other inputs (component and composite at least). The line also doesn't seem to show up on digital channels that were picked up by the QAM tuner. A possible issue with the NTSC tuner on the tv set or maybe something else?

Might be worth a try.
