My PC wouldn't come out of sleep. It hung on the bios trying to load the windows 8 backend stuff. I reset my bios and I was able to get it to load windows recovery. That's as far as I could get. It instantly BSOD's after the bios splash. I am currently installing windows 8 back onto that drive to recover whatever I didn't have multiple backups of already.

My question is: Should I even use this drive? Did it fail or did a windows update just screw me over? I don't want to buy another drive if I don't have to, but I don't know enough about SSD failures to really judge.

Thanks for the input!

New install seems to be running smooth and I was able to backup the windows.old folder fine, but I bet running that setup will put me back where I started so I just ordered a new drive anyway. I guess it was due for an upgrade anyway. (I knew that vertex drive wouldn't last long anyway).
