E2140 1.6 @ 3.2 (8 x 400 / 1:1)
A-DATA DDR2-800
2.1V on ram
1.2V on cpu
+1V on MCH and FSB

Obviously boots in to windows, I can run applications OK it seems, no crashes as of yet. Wondering how to get this stable, and just what the rounding error means.

Other system specs:

Gigabyte P35-DS3L
AC Freezer 7 Pro
7600GT (100Mhz in bios)
2.0 memory/cpu ratio
 
What are your memory timings at right now? And are you using 2 sticks or 4 sticks of memory?

If you haven't already, relax your memory timings to take that out of the equation.

I see you needed a lot of volts to get to 3.2GHz. So if you are able to take the memory out of the equation and we know the 400FSB isn't the issue for the motherboard... It might mean you'll need to back the CPU down to 3.15GHz or such.

My E4300 could do 3.15GHz no sweat but I was never able to get it that tiny bit further to 3.2.
 
ram timings are 4-4-4-12 right now, 5-5-5-15 default. i don't consider 1.2V on the cpu a lot, stock is 1.15 according to the bios at least. I'll try putting the timings back to default when I get home. also, it is 2x1gb sticks. correction from above, i put +0.1 V on MCH/FSB, not 1V
 
Put more voltage on the CPU. 1.35V is a good start.

Also tight timings on junky ram at low voltages isn't likely to fly either.
 
I'll try 1.35 when I get home too. I was just hesitant to put it up high out of temperature concerns. I'm not sure what typical or rather critical temperatures are on these chips. As for the ram, via the specs on newegg: Recommend Use High Performance or Gaming Memory. Most people seem to rate it 5/5 but that's not saying it's crucial ballistix or anything.
 
Rounding errors for me, were always from not having enough vcore.
 
set 1.35V and it was stable but running at 67C at load while running Orthos. This is a bit high for my liking but what are your opinions on this? I don't do anything that would really tax the cpu 100% for a long period of time. Still seems kind of high to me.
