I can't seem to get FahMon to keep an eye on my X1950. I have the client in a folder on my desktop, and when I try to add the client to FahMon, the only option I have is the FAH6.00beta2-Win-GPU-Console folder... and when I point it there it shows a yellow box...

Any ideas? Anyone able to use FahMon with the GPU Client...

I don't think FAHmon supports GPUs, although I may be wrong. When you highlight your GPU in FAHmon, does it show the WU info on the right? If so, you're fine and you just need to let it complete 2% before it'll turn green and show your PPD.

I get nada... A black box and N/A under Progress....I have a feeling that your right, it's probably not supported... Oh well... thanks for the reply!

digital_exhaust,

It is supported. I have had my GPU client monitored on both FahMon and FahSpy. I use both applications and they monitor the GPU client equally well as the other clients. There must be something else about your config that is giving you problems.

Here is the only folder I can point it at....

What do I need to change? Any help would be great...

It's the same procedure that you'd use for the other clients. In this case, you will need to select the 'FAH6.00beta1-Win-GPU-Console' folder. It should read the progress right away. If not, try renaming the folder to something shorter like FAH GPU, etc. Let us know.

you'll also want to make sure that FAHMon has the latest WU information (FahMon->Download New Projects) so that it knows what WU it's trying to figure out information about...

Okay, I think I know what's wrong, but I don't know how to fix it:) The F@H log is not updating, it's stopped at "[17:54:49] Configuring Folding@Home..."

So, I have FahMon set up correctly, but without the log updating it's useless.... I haven't updated the client to beta2 yet, I'm waiting for it to finish the current unit. It seems that every time it completes one, I'm gone or asleep.... I don't know if that will make any difference or not, but we'll see.

Have you tried restarting the GPU client? That might work.
Also, you could make a backup of your work folder and then install the new client and put the work back into the new client.

I don't see how changing the client would make it any different though.

Maybe you should save the work and update it right away? The new beta client is just a new executable. If you replace the old one with the new one, you will be good to go. The worst that can happen is the log file will still refuse to update. As long as you save the work folder and queue.dat file, your work should be saved.

Edit: Yama, didn't see your post above, but it looks like we have similar suggestions. :)

Alright, thanks guys. I'll give it a shot and see what happens. Thanks for the replies!
