FAH only using GPUs at 30%

So, trying to get into the spirit of things, overtaking default and all, I shut down the (actually long obsolete) miners and lit FAH on a trio of 69XX.

Few hours later I'm like "gee, it sure is cold in here" and sure enough CCC reports GPU load at only 30%

what gives?

this will take effect once they are done with their current units and request new work right?
 
it should, yes. the units you'll be looking for are 8900 7810 or 7811. it should make your gpu usage go to 100% and get you better ppd.
 
Also make sure you have the latest AMD drivers. Some of the older ones (13.1, 13.4, etc.) had issues with throttling up properly on the older work units.
 
Let me know what kind of PPD you get with the 6970 and 6990. I've got two I need to power up as soon as I figure out the power issue this house seems to have.

Well get to work on fixing that! lol

When I get back from my vacation I do believe we will be ordering a couple UPS units for our rigs. If that's the case, then in about 12 days I will be able to up my production by a good bit.

oh, I know, but it is cooking the card like a miner, also noticed the ethernet had come unplugged from the 2p 771 and it was idle for who knows how long...starting to warm back up in here :D

your ethernet cable needs more *CLICK* ;)
 
Better go with "advanced" for client type; still get Core 17 WUs assigned. There are cases where newer beta-Core17 couldn't return results etc. A bit more risky with beta.
