Sorry all, but I've looked around everywhere to find an answer to this and I can't seem to locate anything on this topic.

I'm running FAH Mon 2.3.4 on my Desktop (that's also running the SMP client). Yesterday for some reason the FAN Mon decided to not show up when I click on it in the toolbar by the clock on my Win XP Pro machine.

I have tried rebooting, reinstalling, installing old versions.... nothing seems to be working.

I can right click on it from the toolbar and access benchmarking, preferences, etc etc,... but that's it.

Anyone have any ideas to what the problem is?

Is there a better / other solution to monitor my machines?

Note: I'm only running 3 machines that are being monitored.

TIA,
-g-

I can't say what's wrong with FAHMon, but as for other monitoring software, I preferred FahSpy.

Also, if you can't find anything on what's causing your troubles with FahMon, consider filing a bug report or talking with the developers, they're very helpful.

Thanks Alan!

I'll send them a quick note during my lunch break and check out FAH Spy as well.

Woah  Please post your solution turb0. I have used FAHmon for quite some time. I've used the client LinSMP with Ubuntu and a few other buntu's, (different GUI's). ;) I've used it with the WinSMP client and WinXP both with SP2 and SP3. I've used it with the GPU2 client in WinXP with SP2 and SP3. I'm presently using it with Win 7 beta and the GPU2 client without any problems. (I love this Win 7 beta, both 64 bit and 32 bit :p) :D

The only contention (discrepancy) I've had was solved by the knowledgeable folders on this forum. I was instructed to check the "Ingnore asynchronous clocks" box on the monitoring tab under preferences because I was getting eat up with hung clients

OBTW make sure FAHmon is pointed to the folder with the work folder and not just the work folder itself :)

Please let us know what's happening. I've used the FAHmon program for many moons without any problems. :D I've only monitored up to five boxen at a time, so monitoring more than five boxen may introduce problems. The boxen were all on the same network.

I have had this happen on my multi-monior desktops.
The app is being opened on a monitor that is not really there ..

Not sure for a fix .. but that is what is happening.

only choice is to disable those other monitors and it will shift everything to the primary monitor..
