Okay, as of current.
C2D 6600 @ stock speed has been running the client for several minute (15+) without any progression in steps.
P2665 is being run right now. And I've followed the Vista Instruction explicitly however it doesn't seem to do anything. My cores are all pegged. I've configured it as a service already, rebooted and up it goes. I'll report more back in a couple.
Before everybody gets on me about VMing, I'm just running tests to ensure that I know how to configure F@H for Win 7 properly so that I can borg some friends in the near future.

That's normal.
I'll do that later...What problem? If you're talking about not being able to start the client, you need to replace the .exe file with this: http://www.stanford.edu/~kasson/folding/windows/Folding@home-Win32-x86.exe
Okay, something isn't right here. I rebooted in order to apply the overclock, right now it's running at 3.0Ghz. And upon booting up, the SMP client lost its work file and is downloading new cores. It wasn't able to resume from the saved work.
So I'm suspecting that the flags are set incorrectly. So what do I do here to ensure that it does what it is suppose to.
NOTE: It seems that I had the -d entry on there twice and it caused problems. Now it should be restored.
NOTE 2: It actually didn't fix it. Now I've frakked up the service itself. Any tips or suggestions?

It should look like this: -svcstart -smp -verbosity 9 -d "D:\FAH\FAH1"

Yes I understand that but when it ask me if I want to run it as a service, I said yes. So I don't need to type the following in -svcstart -d D:\FAH\FAH1 part it seems.
I'm going to give this a test, I had it removed as a service and now I'm restoring the services.
Alright all I had to do was to remove the services from the configonly. And then to restore the service and to provide the additional parameters of only "-smp -verbosity 9" because the -svcstart -d D:FAH\FAH1 were being provided. Alright... Verified that it ran from the checkpoint so all is good now.
