fah client v7 laggy

I installed the v7 client the other day, and my computer becomes so slow to respond.
Really makes my machine unusable.

I remember having used the previous v6, and no dramas.

Anyone have similar issues, and have suggestions?
The new client has gpu running too. Old one was cpu only.
 
Turn off the GPU folding and it should get rid of the lag at least it does on my rigs. Most of my rigs are dedicated folders so I do not worry about the lag but for some reason nvidia GPU folding with v7 on some of my rigs creates a lag on others it does not. I never really took the time to try and figure out why. It could be driver related or platform related or any number of things.
 
Is it just "display" lag? Like with Internet Explorer?
If that is the case, I found that selecting "Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering"
under: Tools->Internet Options->Advanced
helps tremendously.
