Hey all,
I just noticed that I'm still not producing points despite folding a decent amount, and when I looked as the main stats page, my whole account seems to be missing. I know it's not really a big deal, but wanted to say I'm trying to work out what happened (and do have my passkey). Hopefully I'll be back online for 33 soon~ish/
 
I can try to help you figure out what's going on. What username are you folding under?
 
Duff&Diana, no changes on my end but the name is no longer able to be pulled up at foldingathome.org. I tried a password reset request just in case, and when that didn't show I tried creating a new account since the name doesn't search but nothing showed up in my email for either. I also contacted them and gave user name and passkey last night.

However, I can't find info on your pass key for that username when looking up qrb status. The last wu looks like it was completed on Jan 1 and got the bonus (https://apps.foldingathome.org/cpu). However, EOC shows more recent data for you. Very odd.

Can you provide a recent wu (project, run, clone, Gen) that you were assigned/completed? I'm curious how that shows up on the wu history. https://apps.foldingathome.org/wu
 
Did they do a db upgrade/migration? The "&" in the user name might've scuffed the account during the migration.

I'd love to have more hardware dedicated to folding full time, but sadly most of the machines have other uses. That being said, I just noticed that I'm hot on your heels so you should fire something up before I pass you! :D
 
FWIW it looks like a recent change removed (or enforced nonuse) of many punctionation types, but I can't find a comment with a list, or a place to change (hell, just pull the ampersand) my username.
 
I don't even think you can do this.... if you change it in the program or website its basically like making a completely new account that is not connected to your original points history... I would reach out to their support to see if they can update it for you on the back end so you don't lose your data....
 
Yeah- I have done so, Might have a lead. Funny, a mod told me my account can't be that old, they didn't exist before v8.2. But I have a passkey from 2012 (which is apparently before accounts and a different thing). If I start over, I start over.

Was there perhaps an oops on the name somewhere possibly getting changed?
 
Kinda, it seems they suddenly started enforcing banned characters that poor data entry allowed into the system. So my username suddenly wasn't OK because it has an ampersand.

I know it's on me as much as them, but still a dumb move.

There are passkeys and fah accounts. The accounts are new in the v8 client. Passkeys have been around for a LONG time as you know. That mod must have been talking about the v8 account.

It is 100% on them. You've been using that username since before 2004. If it worked for 2 decades, it was never a valid policy on restricting the use of certain characters.

Yeah, should have specified better, I was using the name all along but it was not tied to anything until v8.

Also agree, annoying they didn't come up with a solution before trashing accounts that are providing free cycles. I'm feeling like if they don't fix it I'm switching to another project.
