my parents have a ~2 year old gateway w/ a p4 2.0ghz. my younger sister who still lives at home says its slow compared to mine (i don't know when/how she used mine) and games "suck." partly b/c of the video card. of cource mine is faster... but... i'd like to give my parents computer a bit more oomph.


is there a way to unlock the bios i.e. unlock gateway crap that locks out the whole bios just to be clear.
i mean, the way they lock it, i'm amazed u can even set the time. its rediculous:mad: . i contacted gateway since the warranty is out ect.. but they say i cannot do it. i'll be visiting home in a few weeks so i would be able to do it then.

its a gateway that has a p4 2.0 ghz, 768megs pc800 ram. forgot the mobo brand, but its an 845 chipset w/ ICH5(i think). it has a geforce 4 MX card that i OC'd the crap out of and nearly doubled the 3dmark 2001 and 2003 marks.
