F'N A7N8X-E DELUXE AND z-5300e just doesn't F'N go together. . I just f'n shorted my second set of z5300e in 2 months. It is the same problem as before: the front left speaker makes a static sound when turning the volume knob. If i leave the front left unpluged, then the f'n sub starts staticking. the worst part now, is that the front left DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. At least last time it worked, now theres no sound at all coming from that mofo.

DAMN IT. what do i do now? can i rma?

i dont think you can imply swearing in a thread title, you may want to change it.
I don't see why you couldn't rma it. I'm not sure what you think the mobo has to do with the speakers but i'd say it's just a run of bad luck on them and the mobo has nothing to do with it.

damn it, if i rma, do i have to pay for shipping. not to mention its gonna take so long.

damn logitech, i've lost complete trust in them

Slow down cowboy. What makes you think the motherboard is at fault for any of this? I would be really surprised if the motheroard somehow screwed up your speakers.

some companies are different but you usually have to pay for shipping tothem and they pay the shipping to you. If you make a BIG stink with their tech support, the whole this is my second set to die and are you trying to rip me off with all this shipping blah balh blah, then you maybe able to get them to cross ship(they ship at same time without waiting for you to return the old pair) or they may give you a fedex/ups account number to charge the shipping to. Generally the lowly tech support person can't authorize this, make a stink and ask them to escalate it and that you want to talk to the manager, etc.
Might work out for ya.

Edit: try bargaining with them ;). Tell them you want a full refund including all the shipping or you'll never buy another product from them and you'll make damn sure no one you know does either. They will usually tell you that they can't refund your money because some BS reason, then bust out the cross shipping or they cover the shipping both ways, OR you might even get them to upgrade you to a better model for cheap/free.
Most companies want to keep face with their customers and will do almost anything to do so.

ok, then how. how can it be screwed at the exact same spot twice in a row?
if there is a weak point in the manufacturing of the product that would pretty well explain it

Logitech is actually awesome about their RMA... I have Z-2200's (I think), a 2.1 sound system... The little external wired remote started creating static in my speakers (proven by exchanging the wired remote with my room mates wired remote... same set of speakers)... I called up Logitech, they sent me a whole new set of the speakers ($100 speakers) and didn't even want me to send back that broken set  was crazy!

Logitech is great about their RMA... I didn't pay a dime...

Not a good strategy. If the company knows you are never going to buy from them again then what incentive do they have to try and help you?

the whole point is you aren't going to buy from them because you are mad, they will usually try their best to make you happy. This is a last resort thing though, if they are willing to send you a whole new set of speakers for free without you needing to send the old ones back, there is no need to put on this show.
