I have been getting this error ever since I started work on this unit. Hopefully someone can help me resolve the issue. I am using client FAH504-Console.exe. I have sucessfully completed probably 10+ work units on this PC and this client but this error started yesterday. Ever 4 or 5 steps, it tries to upload the work and each time it fails.

I have had that happed a few times over the past few weeks, it usually clears itself up in short order, few hour or a few days. Eventualy it will go and you will be credited.

Always check this page for server status when you are unsure, but this page is not always right on the money:

Just let it run, have a drink etc ;)

If you are using IE 7 then turn off "Use Internet Explorer Settings"
I had the same issue when I upgraded.

Should never use IE settings unless you have proxy information on it and are needed. Makes for a whole lot easier world.
