Is this one of those new "bigpackets" they were talking about???

from the looks of it...my pc will complete the WU in DECEMBER! WTF?

If I remember right (please correct me if I'm wrong, I've been known to be :D )... that estimated date is based off of the program thinking you have 10000 frames... and each frame is taking 30 min to complete..... which... is a LONG time.... but I think if you watch the count of frames completed, it'll make jumps of 1000 or at least 500 or 250... so you don't really have until Dec until it finishes.... Take a look at your logfile and see how it's counting the frames... :D

A Gromac is done in 100 steps.
So 10,000 frames/100 steps =100 steps per frame.
So 4,100 frame is the 41st step.
So 59 steps to go.
Thats what its counting.

I do each step in aprox 2 min 6 seconds +/- 3 at 2 Ghz as a conparision.

Luck......... :D

yeah...jumped outta my skin when I saw that...not a very accurate estimate since it finished it last night before 10pm...and has finished 2 more since then

ohwell...it now shows that I have 3 cpu's folding (which is correct, I have 3 computers but one is dual cpu)...will it show 4 if I have it running in a dual cpu system with two instances?

Yes, if your dually is running two instances (for the sake of argument, one is in driectory "Folding1" and the other in "Folding2") and you have the local flags and the machine ID for each client different...... then yes, it'll show up as 2 CPUs at Stanford...

right now, I have:
(1) 2.4C @3.0 with 2 instances
(1) Athlon 2000+ with 1 instance
(1) P4 2.66 with 1 instance
(1) P4 2.66 with 1 instance
and stanford says I have 5 active cpus

Welcome to the team... feel free to ask any questions you may have... www.em-dc.com is a good place to grab a very nice monitoring program to feed your addicti----- I mean, to monitor all your boxen..... :D
