I am looking to make my PSU cables look a little nicer. Do any of you have this?

Seems relavtively easy, but I'm not exactly sure if it's good stuff or not.

I'm also looking at this stuff, but it's a lot harder to work with (even though I think the results would look much better):

They have these tools to help out, but is it worth it? If it will make that much of a difference, then I am willing to pay for it.

Please tell me what you all think. Any input would help a lot. Thank you!

Hello Nandaman.

The first link you will not need any tools for, as those are not 'true' sleeving, and will just slip over wires.

The sleeving, you will need tools for (2nd link).
The 3rd link is for round plugs, male and female, such as the original 4 pin molex connectors. I have used this tool while sleeving an old psu. It is not tough. But the new psu's will be tougher.

The other tool looks like it will do all molex', except sata?
I dont know why you would want to sleeve everything except the sata cables though, although maybe someone here could help you out with doing sata.

Pro's and cons for 1st link sleeve:

Pro's
The twist over ones will take no effort at all.
Cons
They are going to be heavier, and may wiegh down your cabling a bit (make droops, maybe unseat molex)
Do not look as nice

Pro's and cons for nd link sleeve:

Pro's
Look nicer/neater than other sleeve
Very light wieght

Cons
Very time consuming and harder to install
Potential to mess up pins/hardware

If you do go the 2nd link sleeve, I would stay away from the chrome (metal) ones, as they will conduct electricity and may cause a short.
I would stich with the 'plkastic' mesh or the cloth ones.

The twist wire protectors are annoying to put on and take off especially in tight corners. I also would not get any sleeves for me wires. For me a good wire layout and some zip ties do the trick. Even though my case has a clear panel I don't look in it enough to justified working on wire sleeves. If you still want sleeves I would still stay away from those twist wire protectors. Its main purpose is to protect wires that are laid out through sharp edges.
