ok i though i have seen this done but i cant figure out how to do it, when i setup eyefinity it always switches them to landscape, and also kills the resolution of my main monitor
 
Can't be done just yet. All monitors need to have the same aspect ratio.
 
My dream setup. I already have the 30" just waiting on ATI or Nvidia to officially make this possible. I will buy two 20" Dell DP monitors just like that ones in the video.

You have to play them in Windowed mode or Windowed fullscreen. There's some thread on WSGF with workarounds for some games that don't give you a Windowed mode option to force them into Windowed mode so you can do PLP.
