Eyefinity support for CrossfireX 5970's

Been emailing back and forth with Amd on this, and eyefinity support for dual 5970's in CrossfireX is coming in the next full driver release...

I haven't had any luck with any 10.x drivers in getting this to work. I've heard people having luck with previous drivers though, but with poor performance.

Crossing my fingers that this is true. Having to disable CrossfireX in order to run a grouped monitor setting is definitely not optimal.

Hope it works for you. I felt very frustrated trying to get 5970 CrossfireX to work. What's the point of spending over $1200 for two elite video cards with 4 gpus when games and apps aren't even taking advantage of them?
ATI had no problem selling high end cards, but the support for those cards was lacking. I mean, if you buy a pair of Ferraris, shouldn't you get expect top level service from the car dealer?

At the same time, just because you bought a Ferrari doesn't mean you should expect to do 180 MPH on your daily commute. 4 GPU scaling has always been shit, you should have known that going in. And for games and apps not taking advantage of the power, that isn't really ATI's fault.

Not fully working with Eyefinity is ATI's fault, but they are working on it. It sucks that you have to wait, sure, but this is the first generation of the feature.
