Right now I am using a 5870 connected hdmi to a Hanns G 28" monitor. If I go and buy 2 24" monitors could I connect them using the 2 DVI ports and everything will be fine?

It's either that or I save money for a 30" dell for the higher resolution.

Cheers

One monitor will need a display port active adapter and the monitors will run the same resolution. If they are not close in pixel pitch it may not look that great.

Thanks for the replies guys....probably just be better to sell what I have and get 3 identical monitors then.

That is what I suggest... I would add... get 3 like monitors that have Display Ports on them so you don't have to run a stupid and costly DP to DVI adaptor

Best luck, EYEFINITY is worth the few problems I have had

What monitors do you have Nick?..I was looking at 24"ers...like the idea of wraparound..more immersive

23in Dell P2310H

They are very nice and VERY good price

I got 3 brand new for $640 shipped :D

If you haven't seen Eyefinity yet in person I strongly recommend you do before you go any further. I spent $600 buying two more monitors and the required DP->DVI adapter, and when it was all set and done I did not like Eyefinity. Based on all the high praise it has received I seem to be in the 1% that doesn't like it. I'm not trying to suggest that you won't like it, but try it out first if possible.
