Hey fellows,
I recently found and purchased a 3rd 24" monitor to add to my setup and took the plunge into eyefinity with a single 6970 (MSI). I have two dell 2405FPW's and an NEC PA241w setup in portrait mode with the two Dells flanking the NEC, the two Dells are hooked up with DVI, the NEC is straight up DP.
Everything works fantastically but I have noticed a vertical "tear line" on the NEC that moves slowly from left to right, slowly as in it takes perhaps 5-8 seconds to complete a lap. It doesn't seem to be an actual tear line in the context of what I would percieve with a normal LCD setup without vsync turned on (I do have vsync on FYI) as this line is more perceptable when moving the view around slowly.
My question is, is this some artifact because of my setup? Is there a way to get rid of it if perhaps I used a DP to DVI convertor? Would it go away when I eventually move to a pair of 6970's in crossfire? Has anyone else seen this? What's with the fuzzy donut post I just saw?
Anyway, it's only particularly annoying to my OCD side, and I'd like to get rid of it if possible or at least shed some light on it's dark secrets.
TL : DR = Boggle!?
Thanks!
