I thought Quake Wars was Eyefinity ready. I cant get it to work on my setup. Only one monitor will work with the highest resolution offered is 1920x1200. This is with a Powercolor 5970 & the 9.12 drivers. Any suggestions?

Do you guys know how to adjust the FOV beyond 110? I have got the game to run at 5760x1200. It looks aweful at the default FOV of 90. Adjusting to the apparent max of 110 in the console doesn't help too much.

i think 110 is the limit.. even in RTCW:ET which basically uses the same console coding maxes out at 120 fov.. but you will probably get a better answer if the mods decide to move this to the PC gaming section of the forum..

Well if 110 is the fov limit then Quake Wars on eyefinity is not really compatible IMO. It's still way too zoomed in. Oh well it's not like I play the game anyway, was going to see if it was any good.

should be happy that it at least isnt creating a wonderful bubble effect.. try it on single display with default settings.. then try it on eyefinity with the 110 view and see if theres a difference.. though your about 5 months late on starting the game.. its pretty much died at this point since MW2 came out.. and the fact that ID software dumped all support for the game and left it to die a slow death..

It's already died. Activision killed the community site a little over a week ago. No more forums or stats pages.

Wandted to play it again but then on 5760x1200, and was looking for a solution did not find it here but WSGF copy/paste the fix

Multi-Monitor Specific Solution

Find the ... etqwconfig.cfg ... in (Vista) ... C:\Users\User Name\Documents\Enemy Territory Quake Wars Public Beta\base ... open it with WordPad

Change these lines:
If your resolution is 16:10 or 16:9, then just start the game and select your aspect ratio from the ingame options screen, and that's all you need to do. If it's something else, then you need to do a little math.
Write your resolution as an improper fraction, with the horizontal number on top and the vertical number on the bottom. 1280x768 would be 1280/768. Now simplify the fraction. 1280x768 would become 5/3. Once it's simplified, the number on top is your H-value, and the number on the bottom is your V-value.
eg
seta r_customAspectRatioV "1"
seta r_customAspectRatioH "5"
seta r_aspectRatio "-1"
seta r_customHeight "1200"
seta r_customWidth "5760"
seta r_mode "-1"

Multiplayer anomalies

Main menu is Vert- while game play is Hor+ and Vert+ depending on aspect, a near perfect way to handle this.
Sever menus are vert-.
With Game play hor+ and vert+.

Works perfectly !
