Hello guys I just received 3 U2410 and they are working great :p there is 1 problem (I am pretty sure its not a problem but still) Is there a way to get 5760 1200 in VLC (for movies?)

is there a way to change the res from config file from example?

Check this picture for example (not really close to full screen) - http://img295.imageshack.us/i/img0046m.jpg/

Also is this how bezel management works? or am I doing something wrong ;oo I thought swiping stuff around behind bezels automaticly moves it abit to the left or to the right? if not its still good who cares :p but for example my smile and the previous 10 words I couldnt even see them they were behind the bezels ;o check this - http://img208.imageshack.us/i/img0048fo.jpg/

http://img14.imageshack.us/i/img0047ls.jpg/

btw eyefinity... thats just insane seriously best thing ever.

EDIT: I have some problems running any Call of Duty ive seen people play it with eyefinity so I don't know whats wrong with it ;x when I go for 6048 x 1200 its like very very zoomed in my face! something is really wrong with it.. any idea how to fix that? PICTURE - http://img202.imageshack.us/i/lolres.png/

Thanks for any help in advance!!

That's how mine look sometimes. I don't think there is a way to change it because the resolution in Eyefinity is far too wide for a video to keep it's aspect ratio. It might work for some movies but I haven't come across any.

I guess we are fucked then ;( I really want to use all of my screens while watching a movie =p anyway do u guys know any sites with good 5760 1200 wallpapers or 6048 1200 whatever

If you look, VLC is running at 5760x1200. But its not filling all 3 screens because its preserving the movies aspect ratio. If you were to try and fill all 3 screens, it would either be horribly stretched or cropped. You can do that with MediaPlayerClassic, I assume you can with VLC as well, but really you don't want to.

That is how bezel management works. It makes it so that the bezels become more like pillars. Things can disappear behind pillars.

That said, bezel management is great in games but *sucks* on a desktop for the reasons you are discovering. Using the profile manager in CCC, I have mine setup so that ctrl-alt-e activates Eyefinity (w/ bezel management) and ctrl-alt-d switches back to extended mode.

Eyefinity is really only for gaming, it isn't really for general desktop usage.

Agreed :)

And I love my U2410s as well ;)

You should be able to run them in portrait mode and go fullscreen. I haven't tried, but it should work as far as aspect ratios are concerned.

You should give this a try.
It works perfectly for COD:WaW and from what I understand very well for COD: MW :D

Hey thank you ;) I don't even know how to use it, I set the thing at 3x 16:10 or something and yes it says the game is running but the Numpad * thing doesnt work? is there a different key ;o

EDIT: I found the key its " ; " and it says Game Status : Yes, Fix Enabled: Yes but nothing changes ;x any ratio.. nothing works :( games are all up to date)

Protip: Reading the instructions usually helps ;)

Instructions
Download the main application and extract it to a directory
Download a game module for whichever game you want to play
Extract the game module .DLL file to the same directory as the main application

You missed the second and third step there.

Okey there was something wrong with my game.. I reinstalled it and updated it to 1.7 again and it works now!

Any idea where to download Modern Warfare (2) patches? I can't find them.

Btw thanks for the help :p

MW2 runs in Steam. Steam downloads and applies the patches automatically.

Hmm my mw2 is 1.1. version or smth like that ;x

Widescreen fixer updates are kinda old? 010 February 16
* [Game.Call of Duty 6 MP] Updated for v1.0.184.

I do believe v1.0.184 is the newest version. Have you tried it? Does it work?

No? ;< I have 1.1 something so I have no idea how to down it to 1.0 something

Any idea how to fix borderlands? everything is fucked up like in COD (before the widescreen fixer thing)

Seriously... just go to widescreengamingforums.com and look up each game. There's config file changes for borderlands to change FOV. There's also a program that someone made to do it for you.

QFT. if you pour through the forums there you can find a fix for almost any game.

Okey.. thanks for redirecting me to widescreen forum but I like this forum, way more.

Here are some of the screenshots:

- This screenshot was made while not moving - http://img52.imageshack.us/i/borderlands201005222226.jpg/

- This screenshot was made WHILE SPRINTING (It somehow fixes the FOV or whatever its called) so I can see way more stuff and it looks way better... I am sure it can get improved aswell.. - http://img215.imageshack.us/i/borderlands201005222226.jpg/

So any idea how to fix this?

Thanks

Yes, go to widescreengamingforum.com since that has already been solved. You like this forum more, great, but nobody wants to answer a question that has already been answered simply because you don't want to go to another site.

In particular, find the game in question here: http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/Essential_Games_List It will link you to workarounds and ways to get things working.

This thing doesn't work at all.. :( I had it before

This is a small quote from link you dismissed.

“When sprinting Borderlands alters the FOV for a kind of reverse zoom effect to make you feel the sprinting effect.”

Do yourself a favor and read the info you were given. The paragraph I pulled that sentence from will explain the problem to you.

This game is so retarded.... fuck this FOV shit lmao its like I tried everything... cant they just remove the FOV thing when u start running >< then I can set some fov of 120 overall... I want it to look 24/7 the way it looks while sprinting... if u dont sprint its like so baaaad. Cod with eyefinity without fixer, same shit.

You'll quickly find the games that give you the most trouble are Unreal Engine based games. Something about that engine (2.5 and 3) causes developers to go retarded.

For Borderlands go to Documents\My Games\Borderlands and find the willowinput.ini file, edit it, then add to your keybinds an FOV setting.

I used to edit the keybind for forward, fire, jump, whatever else i hit regularly. anyway add FOV 120 inside the " for the keybind, using | to separate the commands so it should look like:

Bindings=(Name="W",Command="MoveForward | Axis aGas Speed=+1.0 | FOV 120")

Then find the binding for sprint and add FOV 130 to the end of it so when you sprint it only sets the FOV up a little bit (I'm pretty sure I have that backwards, I think you need FOV 110 to reduce the sprint effect instead), then when you stop sprinting and hit one of the dozen buttons you added FOV 120 to it sets you back to your comfortable FOV.

Btw 120 and 110 are just guesses I don't remember what was comfortable to me. Takes some testing. I think the menus are still hard to work with in that game though so..

Hey thanks a lot its all good now :) 155 FOV.

The only problem is that everytime I sprint my game goes upside down lmao (until I cancel the sprint effect)

Also Batman Arkham Asylum is really strange rofl :D check this - (This is with FRAPS (Detects my screen? lol) - http://img580.imageshack.us/f/img580/8550/shippingpcbmgame2010052.jpg

and this is in PERSON - http://img690.imageshack.us/i/img0086ai.jpg/

Any idea whats happening? ;x

Try a lower FOV than 155. The same thing happened to me, but I never really bothered to fix it... too busy playing my other games in eyefinity to revisit borderlands. My guess is that the sprint FOV might be too large if your default FOV is 155 so it goes upside down.

Are you running at native res? The left monitor looks like it's scaling the image and letterboxing it. This is called GPU scaling in CCC. The monitor itself may have some sort of scaling option in its menus. Make sure you do NOT scale the image at all or 'scale to full panel size' so it's full screen. Or just run at native res so there's no issues.

hey thanks a lot :) It was my left monitor and its wide mode thingie set to 1:1 so I changed it to fill like the rest of the monitors :) about the CCC thingie it didnt do anything when I removed it (should I keep it on? is it any good)

Also my screen is kinda... bad in batman ;x the resolution feels like 4000 rofl its so zoomed any idea how to solve that? I can see my fraps numbers being very large meaning the res is bad

If the fraps numbers are really large then it's not running at the right resolution. Just go to the graphics options and change the resolution to the right one (5760x1200 since it's U2410 I guess?)

Its already @ 5760 x 1200 :< yet the numbers are huge (the fraps numbers)

The only other thing I can think of is make sure it's fully patched. I think at some point Batman AA was patched to fully support Hor+ and hence support eyefinity. I know that Batman AA works flawlessly for me in eyefinity.

If 1:1 makes a small screen, you don't have full resolution. If you blow up a small resolution to full screen (scale to full screen), small numbers become large.

What CCC thingie did you remove?

I have the Image Scaling option enabled in CCC (Enabled GPU Scaling - Scale Image to full panel size).

Anyway.. I really am kinda lazy to fix Batman ;< Its okey but I am pretty sure I'm not getting the right resolution :)

Should I keep the Enabled GPU Scaling thing on or off?

You can keep it on or off as you please. It only makes a difference if you run a lower then native resolution (below 1920x1200 on single, below 5760x1200 on 3X). But, if you get a "small screen" in 1:1, that screen is not running 1920x1200, so you are not running 5760x1200. :)

Check your setup according to this video and make sure you have selected 5760x1200 (if you have 3X U2410, I would activate bezel management and run a higher res instead).
