eyefinity displayport to vga adapter

I'm going to have 3 displays in portrait, I'm going to use displayport to vga adapter as these are much cheaper than dvi.

Would this product work without problems?

I know that in USA HP sells one for just 25usd but I live in Sweden so I'll have to go with a nonbrand one(in Sweden HP costs 50usd).

18-20 USD is about the best I can find em for in the US, so long as shipping isn't much for you; I'd say that's about as good as you're going to get.

Is there any known good US online store that ships internationaly?

btw isn't the HP adapter same as the ebay, or is there virtually any difference?
My guess is all these are made in china then HP just puts their brand name on them?!

would that work if I connect it to VGA on display with a VGA - DVI cable?

I guess from graphics card I could: GPU: DP --> DVI --> VGA --> display.
So from graphics to dvi adapter, from dvi to dvi -- > vga cable connected to vga on display.

I thought you were getting the VGA adapters just because they are cheaper. If you have DVI connections on the monitor I would go with those or just buy the VGA adapters. The fewer adapters the better in my opinion.

I need it for Eyefinity, the DP to DVI does not work on DVI port of display because it need active adapter(130usd).

however it might work if I connect it to VGA port of display using a VGA---DVI cable.

1. the DP to VGA adapter I need to order from China so it takes some time before reach Sweden.
2. DP to DVI can easily be found in Sweden but it is passive so no eyefinity through DVI(maybe from 3. VGA with DVI-VGA cable?).
4. DP to DVI Active works but it costs 130usd in Sweden.

The monoprice DP-> svga adapter did not work for me. The screen flickered intermittently. I tried with multiple Lcds and Monoprice was a pain and only posted my review after I sent them multiple messages and 3-4 weeks of waiting after initial review submittal. BAD monoprice.

perhaps that is why we don't see any 1 star reviews on monoprice.

it could also depend on what monitor it is?
my 2405fpw gives me perfect picture from VGA 1920*1200 but this is not with dp.

I currently runt it at 1280*800 in windows 7 bcs I can read text better
