Eyefinity and Steam?

First of all, here are my specs:

MSI K9A2 CF-F AMD 790 Socket AM2+ Motherboard
Gigabyte ATi Radeon HD 5870
Seagate 1TB Serial ATA HD 7200/32MB/SATA-3G
Kingston HyperX 4096MB PC8500 DDR2 1066MHz (2x2048)
AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2GHz Socket AM2+ CPU
Corsair TX750W
NZXT Apollo Blk ATX Mid-Tower Case
Logitech Z-Cinema Advanced Surround Sound System
Razer DeathAdder Gaming Mouse
Razer Arctosa Keyboard
Razer Megalodon Headset
Windows 7 64-bit
Dell P2310H (x3)

Anyway, Eyefinity wasn't a hassle to set up, and with most games it works just fine. In World at War I had to use the Widescreen Fixer, which also worked completely fine. Only thing is it seems that Steam games don't like to run at 6048x1080 (with bezel compensation) when using Widescreen Fixer. Steam games run at my desired resolution just fine if they support it, but with Widescreen Fixer the hotkey just does nothing. I've also tried running at 5760x1080, but still no luck. Games I've been able to run at at the widescreen resolution are: Bad Company 2, Left 4 Dead 2, AVP, Just Cause 2, Portal, S.T.A.L.K.E.R, and World at War (with Widescreen Fixer).

So far Mirror's Edge and Modern Warfare 2 are the only games I've had problems with. In the game I can set the resolution to 6048x1080 or 5760x1080, but the image is stretched across all the screens, and the fixer's hotkey does absolutely nothing.

I appreciate any help you guys can offer, I hear this is the place to go for help with this kind of thing.

Widescreen Fixer is super picky about the exe. If it is the wrong version, won't work. If it isn't the retail version or whatever its targetting, it won't work. It isn't a problem with steam necessarily. For example, COD:MW2 (which requires Steam) works just fine with Widescreen Fixer, or it did for me and many others here. I haven't tried it lately, it could have been broken with a patch. Are you using the widescreen fixer 2 beta?

Sorry about the month long delay, but I've been playing the Half life series (all source games work great with Eyefinity) and completely forgot about MW2 for a while. Anyway, you are right about Steam, because it is not the problem. I can play the first Modern Warfare with Eyefinity just fine with the Widescreen Fixer and you wouldn't even know it was running in the background.

Still though, I cannot get Modern Warfare 2 or Mirror's Edge (main concern, it's a great game) to run, both for their own reasons. MW2 will run at 6048x1080, but the aspect ratio is way off and is unplayable. With Mirror's Edge, changing it to such a resolution only makes it impossible to read anything on the screen, let alone play. It becomes choppy and I have to force quit the game. So is the solution to this problem finding a different exe file? If so, where?

Another thing: After playing all the source games, I thought it would be nice to buy some of the older ones, particularly Half Life: Blue Shift. Only problem is, the highest resolution I can choose is the native resolution of ONE monitor.
