Anyone know of any reviews that compare these two cards running 3 monitors? Trying to decide which I would want to get. I know basically how the 5870 runs from the review Kyle did, but no where have I found anything with the 5850. Also if anyone is already running a 5850 with eyefinity that would be helpful as well. Thanks in advance

eh..5870 is faster then the 5850, so if you're running eyefinity, it'd help to have the faster card.

I am waiting for some more H reviews (need to apply a whip here kyle)

but as a guess the 5870 would probably show a little more of its power against the 5850 here. now is it worth the price difference? don't know. for myself I am waiting for the 2gb models to come out (I think they will finally make sense with eyefinity resolutions. ) If I was buying right now I would probably go with the 5850 and crossfire later if needed.

The price different would be Monitor Setup + 5850 vs. Monitor Setup + 5870.

For most people, that's well worth it considering the monitor setup is somewhere around $500 or more.

I'd also be interested in Eyefinity benchmarks between the 5850 and 5870. I'd like to know if the 5850 can comfortably power 3x24" for most games at max settings or should I go with the 5870. I'm moving up from an AIW 1900XT so either way, I'm prepared for some sweet eye candy :)

Wondering the same thing here. I'll probably grab a 5850 and then xfire if needed later one. Spending $100 on an active DP to DVI adapter doesn't help the wallet either.

I've decided to wait on the release of the X2 cards and buy that instead. Also I'm waiting on the release of any very thin bezel monitors. In the mean time I'm just going to have one huge monitor and a 5750 to get by :)

Aren't you expecting a wee bit much though? Consider the actual resolution you're gonna use. Let's say three 1920x1200 monitors (which 24" monitors usually are - that, or 1920x1080), that's a total of 5760x1200. So max settings... well, I don't think so. Unless you're talking about older games, but seems unlikely. And basically can forget about AA for most cases.
