Eyefinity, 3rd 7970 worth it?

Is it worth upgrading from 2 x CF 7970 OC cards to 3... ?

I can't find any benchmarks on 3 x 7970's but I hear people saying "they don't scale well after 3 cards".

Please factor in I am using Eyefinity 3240x1920.

Additionally if I go for a 3rd card I would need to water cool due to the space between the cards.

My concern is the VRAM on the 7970's filling would be the bottleneck at this resolution... Now I know a bunch of people are going to say "you'll never use all the 3Gb" but I do at this resolution when playing with higher game settings / higher textures (Crysis 3, BF4 on Ultra, Tomb Raider, etc).

Thought about this, but they only have 4Gb VRAM.

And I'm not sure they push that much more in CF over 2 7970s, not enough to make the expense worth it?

That said I am considering water cooling both 7970s + CPU.
 
What CPU/MB do you have? Depending on what you have you might see CPU or PCI-E bottlenecks with trifire.
 
Not worth it at all. Frame pacing for eyefinty still isn't fixed on 7970s.
