Hey guys,

Im looking for 3 Monitors for an eyefinity build. 24'' (1920x1080) preferred?maybe?

I would prefer having 1 VGA output max, Displayport preferred... backmounts necessary,

Any ideas where to start?

Check out the Asus VE or VS series. They're usually pretty cheap monitors that look really nice. Pretty thin bezel aswell imo

You might consider 1920x1200 for more pixels or go the other way for something like 1680x1050. The 16:10 aspect ratio works better for eyefinity in my opinion so you get 48:10 rather than 48:9. You really don't need a wider aspect ratio when your using 3 screens.

1680*3*1050 = 5,292,000 pixels
1920*3*1080 = 6,220,800 pixels
1920*3*1200 = 6,912,000 pixels
You could reduce your GPU load by 25% by going with the 1680x1050 monitors over 1920x1200. Granted the 1920x1080 is right in between the two but those extra pixels over the 1680x1050 are mainly going to be horizontal where you don't need them.

Heck, I even think a 4:3 solution would be interesting since it gives you an aspect ratio of 4 instead of 4.8. Those huge aspect ratios become wasteful with landscape eyefinity. You'd have 5 1/3 with 16:9 monitors.

1280*3*1024 = 3,932,160 pixels
1600*3*1200 = 5,760,000 pixels

Maybe 4:3 is just a bit too narrow for a main screen when gaming though.

I'm waiting on the delivery of a 2560x1600 monitor now to replace 3 1920x1200 monitors that I was using for eyefinity. Two of them are brand new and the third is 3 years old if you have any interest but I'm most likely keeping them for side monitors. Biggest warning on Eyefinity that I've found is that the more pixels -- the more GPU power needed to drive them so you end up having to do Crossfire/SLI which doesn't always scale well.
