I am running two sandisk 120gb extremes in raid0 configuration in my g75sw.

I am getting 483MB Read / 257MB Write. (crystaldiskmark)

I did however have these exact drives in my old rig, which scored over 800MB+ Read / 450MB+ Write.

Is something wrong? This happened before, so I reformatted my laptop and make a new raid partition, still slow speeds. Are my drives defective?
 
I am assuming that you are referring to the Asus g75sw. Check for updated drivers for the raid/sata controller, and see if this fixes the issue.

No clue if they have raid drivers for this laptop.
 
Well you just mentioned that you are running 2 ssd's in raid.. so are you running raid or not?

Reading isn't a problem but sometimes lack of knowledge when asking a question is.

If you're using RAID it MUST have a RAID driver.

You can update those drivers if a newer version is avaliable.

The chipsets in laptops are not the same as desktops and rarely equal a desktop chipset.

There are various options in the RAID controller that may make them faster.
