Hi, I've just set up a rig over the last couple weeks and the hardware and drivers are as follows:

3000+ Venice @ stock 1.8ghz
6600GT AGP xfx stock speeds
MSI Neo2 Platinum
512MBx2 Crucial Value CL2.5
80gb Maxtor Diamondmax10
Windows XP Pro SP2

Drivers:
6.6.8.1 on the video (yeah, it's old, but I've been experimenting)
DirectX 9.0c

I have been getting scores in the 3000s, but people on the 3dmark05 database are getting about twice as much (in the 5-6000s).

Could someone with similar hardware (ie AMD Proc, Nvidia gpu) please post what drivers were successful in 3dmark?

I've tried several sets of drivers for my Nforce3 motherboard and video card, but I keep getting these miserable scores.

Thanks.

With 1 6600gt you are looking at scores of 3000.
Always use the latest drivers.

Yah, those scores aren't "extremely" low. If you're scoring 6k with a 6600 GT....

The keeper of the 3DMark05 list speeks!

There is no way you can get 6,000 3DMarks with a single 6600 GT.
Even with watercooling it will not work.

It is extremely possible to get over 6,000 (or even 7,000 with some high overclocks) with two
6600 GTs though.

The average score for a 6600 GT on my list is 3,668.

If you tell me your score and your graphics card speeds you can be on the list as well!

those scores are about right. hey mentok, whats the highest overclock for a 6600GT?

On my list of 3DMark05 scores from only [H]ard|Forum users I got:

Veedo-----------7,435---6600 GT SLI--612/1174---75.90
nicepun---------4,310---6600 GT-------641/1272---76.41
cooldude918--4,161---6600 GT-------607/1280---77.72

Hope that helps.

..........
I must have had a few neuron bypasses in my brain, I thought my old scores were 6000 until recently. I'm going crazy. I didn't realize those scores were SLI

Thanks ladies and gents.

You got your memory up to 1336!!??
An extra 336Mhz, that is over a 33% improvement on the memory speed.

Can I see a picute of this massive memory overclock?

you guys really think they are that high? i mean, for stock cooling, yeah i guess.

The memory clock sure is, most people have problems getting over 1200mhz.
The core is above average but lots of people get about 615-630mhz.
