eXtreme PSU Calculator Update

Please do. I don't want any errors in it, either.

Like I said it would be for another thread though I am not sure how appreciative you will be after I give feedback ;)

You would be surprised at how much I can tolerate. :D

Yes I did.

I wasn't addressing your page in my previous comment just your assertion that the calculator makes it easy to find how powerful a PSU is needed (which as mnemonik23 is aware from previous interactions I take exception with the method used as it does not provide the correct information). You didn't ask for a critique of your site. I could critique it and point out a number of errors, mistatements, etc. if you would like.....but that would be an entirely different thread.
I see that my calculator is not welcome here anymore...

If you are referring to Amps - they are coming, don't worry about it. But I do not see any reasons to call my calculator "bad" in every reply of yours regarding it. Is it inaccurate because of no Amps?

"...method used as it does not provide the correct information". Are you saying that current method does not provide the correct information about total wattage? You are wrong my friend. It is accurate.

How many times do I need to explain this? Current version just calculates the recommended total wattage. Is this information not 100% enough to select PSU? YES, it's not 100% enough and I'm stating it on my page.

Is this calculator gives you an approximate idea on total wattage? YES, it does.

If you look back you will notice we already discussed this previously.

That would be correct it is innacurrate because there are no amp values with their associated distribution. Which we had discussed but nothing came from.

Well I would say that isn't completely true. As an example are you using family TDP on AMD processors to determine wattage? If so that will skew your wattage high. In addition your estimates generally come out pretty high compared to real world measurements. This makes me think that something is wrong.

You don't have to explain it to me....I know better. The people you have to explain it to are the people using it who think it IS enough and IS completely accurate.

I see that my calculator is not welcome here anymore...

You are welcome to post what you want that doesn't violate any rules....... which is why this thread has remained open. However, when people ask questions or make faulty assumptions based on something people will answer and correct them.

Nothing is completely accurate.

I rather have a total MAXIMUM wattage calculated for each component than one day end up with dead mobo or PSU.

For you (well not only you) it's inaccurate (too much watts) for dozens of other technicians on other forums it's too low. One guy (on c-net I believe) accused me that my total wattage is not acceptable because it's very low :) Go figure

Maybe not but like we discussed before working to be as accurate as possible is better than relegating to being inaccurate. :)

Well then I would introduce those individuals to silentpcreview then.........or just get them a kill-a-watt ;)
