extra drive questions

hello,

i just recently installed another 40gig hd, and i was wondering, as my main hd is 250gig, is it ok to set no pagefile on the main drive and use a 2000-4000mb pagefile on the other drive? i was jsut wondering if programs would be faster by using a seperate drive for pagefile and things. also is there any other performance tweaks i could do with these two drives? thanks in advance
 
that's pretty much what I do. Ive got an 80gig boot drive and a 160 secondary on another controller.
the page file is on the 160 gig drive with none on the 80. Do I see any difference in speed? not that I can tell. Does it work fine? yup.

also, 1 gig of ram and 1 gig page file
 
i'd use one pagefile.. on the 2nd drive (as long as you remember it's on there in the future). and keep it at 4000MB (2xRAM) static size to reduce fragmentation. You may be able to get by with just 3GB since Windows probably won't go past that. Your preference.
