External Watercooling and MISC advice

Was looking to purchase/build an external watercooling kit as first watercooling attempt since i'm a vagina and am scared to put everything in the case.

I've seen the EXOS II and like that, especially since it will mount nicely with my v1000 lian li. But seems like the whored out store brands arn't always the best solution. I also have some dangerden/swiftech 1/2" diam blocks and some dd rads so i'm considering throwing together external box but not sure where to start as far as building it goes.

I've currently got:

AMD 4600+ X2
DFI sli-dr
2x bfg 7800gtx
2gb samsung pc3200
2x 36gb 15k u320 seagate
600w OCZ PSU
Lian Li PC-7323A

or can use my Lian Li v1000b

Anyways, ideally i'd like to get a clear plastic/acryllic box that I can run everything in and have two hoses coming out. The current equiptment I have is all 1/2" diameter but from what i've seen and read it's pretty thick and takes up a lot of space. How much of an advantage to you gain from from the thicker tubing and being able to move more water?

Also if anyone knows any prefabricated boxes that would do the trick for mounting the hardware links would be great as i'm just trying to plan out something now before I order the box and other accessories. I have most of the wc blocks already.

If all your parts have 1/2" od barbs, you can use 7/16"id hose on them (it's what all the cool kids are doing these days) :D Actually Cathar (water cooling guru and designer of some of the finest blocks to ever hit the scene) has recommended and explained the hows/whys of 7/16" being used.
And since you already have most everything you need to diy, you should go that route and save a few $$'s. All it takes is a little planning, some patience, and a leak check, which you need with any type of water cooling.

I'm working with viperjohn right now at getting the gtx's modded to *hopefully* 600/1500ish on his custum viperfang sli setup. So I might be selling all the 1/2" I have or use it on my gf's system.

Any idea where I might find a good external box/case to use for wc?
 
Build your own, that way you get what you want............ :eek: that's what I did for my external system................. :D
Viperjohn does some really nice work on his graphics cards, he really pulls every single MHz out of them............... :cool:
 
Someone posted alink to what looked like a gutted exos box, but I can't find it anymore. Maybe Bio or one of the other guys who are building ext boxes can direct you better.
 
Yeah, still searching around for some. Seen some DIY but still looking around. Talking with john now he actually builds some custom external cooling boxes that I might pick up as well as have him do the cards. I had him do my x800xt and he got to 603/603 not too bad, though he wasn't happy with the oc still got me to 7200 3d05marks.
