I hope this works, Trying to post a pic.

Well, I was drawing up a picture for suggestions, when I realized I never drew in my pump! It's an eheim 1250, so there is no way to put it inside the case.

Anyone have a similar setup as I am proposing?

Should I mount the pump behind where those red LED fans are now? or will I still need those fans?

It has also came to my attention that 1/2" barbs may restrict the flow. Should I use 5/8" and stretch the tubing, or would they still interfere with the flow?

This would make the tubing really effecient to run from the pump>cpu>gpu>rad>pump. Is this ok, or should I try something else.

Oh ya, I also forgot to draw in the t-line and fill port. Any Ideas where to put it?

I haven't actually found the box I am going to mount the radiator in like I drew, but if I find a poor lonely piece of electronics that fits the bill, I will hollow it out and cut those holes in the side. I am going to build a circuit to use an old thermaltake cpu fan control knob and mount it to the front. Maybe some bar graphs or something later on.

Here's the back of my case for reference:

I will take any suggestions!

you could make room for the pump in the external box you are planning on using, also if you are definitely going to mount the box on the top of the case, you might be able to make a hole in the top of the case to run the tubing through, that way you dont have those two long stretches of tubing running down the back of your case, you could make it so that the tubing is sort of hidden from view.

Also, just run the loop in whichever order is the easiest and uses the least amount of tubing.

So the order doesn't matter much.

Well, I probably won't mount it, just use some rubber feet to make sure it stays in place. So I don't really want to cut through the pretty part. I don't mind cutting the back though.

Ya i've been trying to figure out how to put the pump in the enclosure, but it would increase the tube lengths, and I'd have to bend those tubes at a pretty tight angle, thats why I am thinking about mounting it to the back.

Just build everything into your external box and run your tubing as short as possible. That's the way I did mine and it works out just fine. I'm running 2 different external boxes, the best is the one in my sig and the other is this one.

Sweet Setup. Reminds me of when the old teenage mutant ninja turtles got radioactive goop on them. :D

TMNT ROCK!!

If I ever do a mod...I'm soooo doing a TMNT mod.

back on topic, I agree, you should try and build as much as possible into the external box and simply try not to have more tubing than you need and you should be fine.

Turtles definately rock my socks. But I'm a child of the 80's  .

Anyone else have external setups that would be willing to post a link? I'm shoppin for ideas. I saw that toolbox one someone else has, and its pretty sweet looking.

A couple questions. Bio-hazard, if you read this again: what is that thing you use for your reservoir? Did you buy that, or make it from something else? On your website, where did you get the fittings you attached to the inside of your case to plug the hoses into?

How much does extra tubing and brass fittings restrict flow? I've got an Eheim 1250 pump, that will be pumping through cpu, gpu and dual heatercore, so I don't know if it is powerful enough to do lots of bends and things.
