So I'm thinking of migrating from a desktop to a laptop with external usb enclosed hd's. I only have two usb ports on my laptop so I'll need a hub.

Would this work,
4 usb hd's each enclosed with their own power adapters, all plugged into a usb hub, plugged into a usb port on the laptop.

I think it should work since the only thing limited would be power, but all the hd's have power adapters.

what i'm worried about is speed. how would putting 4 hd's on a hub work? ie accessing one disk at a time, file transfers from one disk to another, etc.
