Has anyone ever tried using an external pump that plugs directly into the wall outlet for a cooling system? I was given this cooling kit that has a nice danger den waterblock, not even sure if itll fit my 1155 yet or not but the pump plugs into a wall outlet. Is this mostly just a pump for like bench work testing?

You can get an a.c. relay that will turn the pump on when it detects dc input from the pus. They cost around 10$, or you can make your own with most off the shelf relays, and a small diode.

AC pumps are usually fountain pumps that don't make very good flow under pressure.
